Why they are free
Because both are the short answer to the question a couple asks first: what will this cost, and what has to happen when. We hope you enjoy the work enough to stay for the rest — but nothing here is behind a sign-up and nothing asks for your email. The calculator runs in your browser and the numbers you type are never sent anywhere.
Where the numbers come from
From ordinary Czech prices at three levels of wedding — modest, middling and generous. They are rough proportions rather than a quote: your own figures will differ, but the balance between the line items usually will not. Catering tends to be the single biggest item, and the contingency is ten per cent, because something always gets bought in the last week.
Where a tool ends and an app begins
A tool is a snapshot of one moment. Real planning moves: answers arrive, the headcount changes and the per-person lines change with it, deposits have due dates, and sometimes the date itself shifts and the whole plan has to shift with it.
