You say who must sit together, who certainly must not, and which side each guest is from. The app tries thousands of combinations and finds an arrangement that satisfies them — round tables or long ones, children beside their parents, room for a wheelchair.

18 months, because engagements run 12–18 on average. A licence that expires before the wedding is the worst thing that could happen.
Why not a spreadsheet
A spreadsheet beats everything else at the start, and plenty of weddings are planned entirely in one. It stops being enough at a single specific moment: when something changes. A family of four drops out, and the spreadsheet does not recalculate the catering, does not reduce the chair count, does not remove four place cards, and leaves a hole in the seating plan you notice at the printers.
And then there is the thing everyone who has planned as a pair knows: two versions of the file. One of you edits the copy in email, the other the copy on the drive, and it comes to light in May. Here there is one guest list, and the budget, catering, seating and guest website all read from it — so when it changes, it changes everywhere at once.
Guests set nothing up
Eighty guests means eighty people who never need to know WeddinGlad exists. Each household gets its own link — no account, no password, nothing to download. They answer for everyone in the household, pick a meal, note an allergy, and that is it. It takes half a minute on a phone, even for a grandmother who dislikes buttons.
The page guests see is therefore an ordinary page rather than an application: it loads in a château garden on one bar of signal, which is precisely where guests open it.
Written for real weddings
The budget assumes both families contribute — and that money promised is not money received. The checklist knows the sequence from booking the registry to changing your documents afterwards, with the deadlines that actually apply where you are marrying. Guests are kept as households, because invitations go to families.
It is not a foreign tool with a currency swapped in. The things missing from translated apps cannot be missing here — they are the ones a wedding actually runs on.

You do not have to fill in everything. Most couples begin with the guest list or the budget and add the rest over the following month. Seating, catering and the run sheet are work for the end anyway — before the RSVP deadline you would only redo them.
