Trust
Where your wedding lives, and who can see it
You trust us with the names, addresses and allergies of people who don't know it. Here is exactly what we do with them — no badges, just what is true in the code.
The database is in Frankfurt
Your guest list, replies, budget, seating plan and run sheet live in a Google Firestore database in the europe-west3 (Frankfurt) region. The server code that works with them runs in the same region.
Photos and documents are in the US
Uploaded files — guests' photos, contracts, documents — sit in Google Cloud Storage in the us-west1 (USA) region. We say so plainly because it is true; the transfer relies on standard contractual clauses, with details in the privacy policy.
Signing in without a password
You sign in with your Google account or a link sent to your email. We store no password, because we never use one.
Only the people you invite can see your wedding
An owner has full access, a collaborator sees only what they are given, and a read-only member changes nothing. Who belongs to a wedding, and in what role, is written by our server alone — it cannot be changed from a browser.
Guests need no account
A guest replies through the personal link in their invitation. They create no account, and guest pages carry no analytics. The link works for their household only, and the server blocks anyone trying other links in bulk.
Data about people who don't know it
When you note your aunt's allergy, you hold data about someone who never signed up with us. So guests' names, contacts and dietary details delete themselves 24 months after the wedding. You get an email a month before, and one click extends it by a year. Photos, the run sheet and the budget stay — just without the guests' names.
Download or delete, any time
Settings has a "Download my data" button: everything you have in WeddinGlad, in one file. A deleted wedding sits in the bin for 30 days, then the server removes it for good, uploaded files included.
Payments through Stripe
You pay for the full version on a secure Stripe page. Your card number never reaches us — we only see that the payment went through.
Something missing? Write to us — the person who answers writes the code.
